Not many people devote a page to a over flow, but I came across a excellent website with an excellent Idea. I hope he dose not mind me using his name, but Richard Durso, excellent Idea!!. This PVC constructed tower dramatically dampens the constant noise of water flowing, and gurgling from surging water (sounded like a running toilet). It allows only a certain amount of air to be carried down to the sump, and with that enhancement, less water trickling, and gurgling noise is heard. I did how ever add a guard, (which he also describes on his web site) to restrict anything large entering the inlet.
